Americans have always had a love affair with the automobile, but the industry is changing rapidly. Of course the web is changing as well so we wanted to bring some of those changes together…a sort of Cars 2.0 if you will. What we want to do in this video section of the blog is to show you what is going on in the world of cars and transportation, expose you to new ideas that are happening in the industry NOW.
Alternative Fuel Vehicles
Right now there are lots of alternatives to gasoline vehicles…here are a few.
Electric
Electric powered and really fast, the Tesla Electric car on the road right now.
Jay Leno is the ultimate car guy and he just loves the new Tesla roadster.
Chevrolet is working on varied vehicles, here is the Volt. It is a concept car now.
Fisker Automotive has announced the plugin hybrid Karma due out in 2009.
The Venturi Fetish is only $600,000, made in Monaco and only 25 will be made.
The Zenn is here. Zero Emission, No Noise car made in Canada, available now.
The Smart ForTwo is here as a micro car, but they are planning an EV as well.
The Myers Motors NmG vehicle is a personal model and so darn ugly its cool.

Hydrogen
Hydrogen power has been around for years, now it is available from Honda.
General Motors is working on a hydrogen cell car and is showing the Sequel.

NGV’s are out there…cars run on natural gas and it’s cheaper than gasoline.

Magnegas is totally new, starts as sewage and can run a car like natural gas.
